He sleeps ... yet we continue to stare.

We find ourselves continually fascinated with this new phenomenon of parenthood. Never before could we have imagined that a peacefully sleeping baby could hold our attention for so long ... but we find him absolutely riveting. Ridiculous, no?

Nolan is now a full-fledged "good sleeper" who (aside from the every-three-hour feeding times) is able to stay asleep at night on a relatively consistent basis.

For any of you who have ever seen Ross's dad, Jack, fall asleep during TV shows, you will notice below the classic Mueller surprised-by-sleep pose. Chalk one up for the power of genetic inheritance. Typically, this type of pose is immediately preceded by the words, "Actually, I'm not feeling that tired. I think I can make it through the rest of the movie." We'll see if these are Nolan's first words, as well.
