Grandpa Rick did quite well with him, although he claims he's just biding his time until Nolan can be fully won over by his litany of goofy faces.

Great-Grandma Shirley managed to get quite a few gazes out of Nolan, as well ... something we're seeing more of these days...
Finally, Nolan got the chance to meet another one of his (six!) great-grandparents, Great-Grandma Shirley...

And, eventually, dad even got some face-time with Nolan...
After a few days cooped up in the house, we all thought it might be nice to take a walk down to Cabrillo Monument out on Point Loma...
Clearly, though, with all the family in town, majesterial beauty sometimes fails in comparison with a few minutes of shut-eye...
All in all, it was a wonderful visit, that everyone seemed to enjoy...
...including Nolan. In fact, we managed to get some of the biggest smiles yet out of the little guy...
