Irwin Family Christmas 2008

Ah, the wonderful, unpredictably strange festivity of Irwin Family Christmas! We couldn't wait to introduce Nolan to the tradition!

First, Great Grandpa Ross reads his annual pseudo-holiday email aloud during prayer time...

Nolan is counting the days until he gets to take over this task...

Next comes the traditional (and downright embarrassing) Santa encounters...

Luckily, Nolan wasn't alone in his mild humiliation. To join him, he had mom...

...dad...

...second cousin Cory (note, that IS underwear inside the wrapping paper)...

...and even one of Ross's students, Ryan (so the memories can be relived in class, again and again)...

Then came Nolan's favorite part ... presents!

This was followed by a mildly inappropriate game of Nazarene-family dice rolling and ball passing ... the details will remain confidential ...

However, we were getting worried that Nolan was playing the whole thing a little too straight-laced. Would he really fit in with these rambunctious Irwins?

Clearly, our fears were unfounded...

It's all in the genes...
