Jack, Char, Lauren, and Joey come to town!

Well, it had been a few months, but once again Nolan got to thrill in the visit of his grandparents, Grandma Char and the infamous "Jackpa"

Now, we know that Nolan is a little self-conscious of his size. So we figured, what better place to take him than the famous Hash House a Go-Go...

...where the dishes are, to say the least, disproportional...

The young lad tried to hide it, but we could tell he was feeling a little inferior.

Uncle Joey and Aunt Lauren tried to encourage him by showing him the "baby sized" dishes ... but he wasn't buying it.

So, to try to lighten the mood a little, we figured, "What could make a kid happier than mini-golfing?

Frankly, it's humiliating for us, so it's GOTTA make him feel better about himself, right?

Well...

Strike two.

"Can we please get this over with?"

So, upon little Nolan's urging, we adjourned to more "mature activities," like observing the flora, fauna, and various mammalia at the zoo. Sophisticated, right?

"Sure," he says, "I love being dangled hundreds of feet off the ground, helpless, while strapped to another man's chest. Awesome idea."

Strike three.

So, we decided, if we can't win his love through activities, surely we can ply his affection through gobs and gobs of ringing, noise-making toys, right?

Bingo.

The boy became literally drunk off the whirring, Fisher Price stimulation.

"Now THIS is what I'm talking about!"

So he spent the rest of the day investigating these strange and wonderful creatures called Grandparents...

Lounging in their arms...

Staring into their big, love-brimmed eyes...

Comparing mug shots ... (finally, a chance to feel superior!)...

And most of all, giving the Granparents exactly what they had hoped for ... unsurpassable love!
