A visit from (first) cousin (once removed) Connie!

Also in August, Nolan got to meet his "first cousin once removed," Connie (yes, I did look it up on Wikipedia ... I know ... I'm a dork). She surprised us with a visit down to San Diego to see some of her old classmates and professors, and to get to spend some time with her newest relative.

Clearly, Nolan was enamored, and is counting the minutes until Connie's next visit.
