A reunion, and a wedding...

Over Labor Day weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting a mini-Brown reunion with some of Ross's college friends. Sohee, the famed photographer from our last post, was in attendance ... and Nolan was loving every minute with her...

Well, almost every minute, anyway...


Hansen and I got to welcome home Donald from a tour of duty abroad...

Nolan also got to meet Hansen...



Unbeknownst to Hansen, however, we've always taught Nolan to freeze and go cross-eyed at the first sign of panic...



Luckily, Elaine was there to bring him back down off the ledge...

Overall, and dispite Nolan's summative facial expression, it was a wonderful chance for this group of college friends to reunite after many years.

After the brief reunion, we all headed over to Mission Bay to pre-celebrate Faye and Jason's wedding with a little BBQ. There, Nolan (and Kendra) both finally got to meet Tien (and loads of other friends from Brown) ...

In fact, despite the crowd of veritable strangers, Nolan actually did pretty well...

For a while...

Finally, the big day came, and we all gathered together ...

To witness a wedding full of laughter, tears, tenderness...

And, yes, even the occasional handcuff and dog leash...

I guess there's a first time for everything...

But eventually the couple was united...

And tears of joy and laughter were shed...

And it was finally time for this old Gang to celebrate...

And, although I could dwell on the wonderful speeches, the outrageous dancing, or the touching moments. I'll end with this thought: Think carefully before you offer this gang brownies for dessert...

We simply don't posess the collective maturity to handle the temptation...
